omequiz is a quiz game where camera and microphone can optionally be switched on. This page sets out what we check, what happens when you report someone, and where the limits are.
There is no anonymous access to omequiz. To play you register with an email address and confirm it. That is the single most important safety measure: behaviour is attached to an account, and a banned account stays banned — there is no mode in which somebody slips through without an identity.
Just as important: there is no “next stranger” button. You join a specific room to play a specific quiz. That is the structural difference from random video chat — the situation where you sit alone on camera with a complete stranger and nothing to do never arises in the first place.
Every profile picture and every image uploaded into a quiz is re-encoded before publication and sent to a classification service that checks it for explicit content. Images the classifier objects to do not go live; they are quarantined and passed to the moderation queue.
Two cases are kept deliberately separate: “the checker objected” and “the checker did not answer”. Only the first is a statement about the picture. An image that could not be checked is not treated as clean — it also waits for review.
During live rounds, detection additionally runs on camera streams. When it triggers, the event is recorded as a moderation action and put in front of the team.
Any player can report another during a round. It takes one click and does not interrupt your game. The available reasons are harassment, cheating, inappropriate content, spam, copyright infringement and other.
A report is stored with its evidence attached — depending on the case, the chat message in question, a still image, and a recording of the last two minutes of audio. It then moves through open, under review and finally resolved or dismissed, each with a note from whoever decided.
Moderators can warn (warnings are counted per account), suspend temporarily, or ban permanently. When open reports accumulate against the same account and the evidence supports them, a provisional suspension is applied automatically until a human has looked at it.
Both are optional and off by default. They turn on only when you turn them on, they apply per room and per session, and you can switch them off again mid-game. The quiz works entirely without either.

omequiz is for people aged 16 and over. Anyone younger may not use the platform. This is also stated in the terms of use.
We do not verify age with an ID check — claiming otherwise would be dishonest. What we do instead: access only with a confirmed account, priority handling for reports of suspected underage users, and suspension of the accounts concerned.
For content that endangers children, or any indication of a criminal offence: report it in the game and email us at [email protected]. We treat these cases as priority and cooperate with the relevant authorities.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police first (110 in Germany, 112 across the EU). We can suspend an account — we cannot help anyone in person.
Automated detection is not perfect and does not catch everything. Moderators are people and do not work around the clock. If someone makes you uncomfortable, do not wait for us: leave the room, block them — which stops them contacting you or joining your rooms — and file a report.
