Art covers painting, sculpture, architecture and literature. People tend to avoid picking it, on the assumption that it requires a degree. In practice it is one of the more winnable categories, because the canon is small and the questions stay inside it.

Most questions are about attribution and period: who made a particular work, which movement it belongs to, what distinguishes one style from the one that followed. Those are learnable in a way that, say, sports records are not — the set of works a quiz can reasonably ask about numbers in the low hundreds, and most people have already met a surprising number of them without trying.

The harder questions go after the "why". Why a technique appeared when it did, what a movement was reacting against, which constraint of material or patronage shaped how something looks. These reward having read a wall label properly at some point rather than having studied.

Art is the smallest category by volume and the one where community-written quizzes add the most, because the field is wide enough that any specialist — a period, a single artist, a national tradition — can build a genuinely good quiz that the base pool would never cover. If you know one corner of it well, this is the category worth writing for.
