Entertainment covers film, music, television and the pop culture that outlives it. It is usually the category that produces the most noise in a voice chat, because unlike science or geography, everyone has an opinion about whether the answer is fair.

The difficulty here does not scale the way it does elsewhere. A question can be trivially easy for someone who grew up with a particular decade and impossible for someone who did not, without being objectively hard. The questions are written across a wide time range for that reason — a round that sits entirely in one decade quietly hands the game to whoever was the right age.

The most reliable questions in this category are the structural ones: which film won what, which artist did something first, which format changed how something was made. Those survive taste. Questions about what is currently popular do not, and there are deliberately few of them.

Entertainment pairs well with almost anything, which makes it a common third pick. If you are hosting for a group that does not know each other well, it is also the category most likely to start a conversation between rounds — which, for a game that people mostly play to spend time together, is worth as much as a balanced score.
