Every answer to a multiple-choice question from the site’s own pool in a multiplayer round counts; community quizzes and estimation questions are excluded. A category appears from 12 answers. Timeouts count as wrong. Answer time is the mean seconds to answer across all of the category’s answers, with a timeout counted at the full question time.
Categories with few questions swing more: a single very hard question that gets played a lot pulls a small category’s average down noticeably. That is why the question count is shown next to each one.
